Reggae artiste Gyptian has once again taken home an international award.

The singer beat out Vybz Kartel and Mr. Vegas, Gramps Morgan, Damian "Jr Gong" and Jah Cure in the Best Reggae Artiste category of the 2010 Soul Train Music Awards on Wednesday.

This is Gyptian's second big win for the year having recently won a MOBO award for 'Best Reggae Artiste' in Liverpool, England.

Gyptian performed a medley of his current hits Hold Yuh and Nah Let Go during the Soul Train awards show held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia.

He recently completed a guest performance slot on R &B singer Mary J. Blige's UK tour.

"That was a great platform for me and it exposed me to a wider audience", Gyptian commented.

Gyptian will head into the studios over the next couple of weeks to record a collaboration with R&B singer Ne Yo.
